TinglaTop is a music quiz: you hear a snippet of a track and try to name it. The first snippet lasts just one second. Miss it and more seconds open up — but the answer is worth fewer points.
Modes
- Daily — five tracks, identical for every player. The set changes every 24 hours.
- Battle — a live head-to-head duel against another player.
- Playlists — community sets. Anyone can build their own.
- Classic, Marathon, Genres — single-player modes of different lengths.
- Higher or lower — guess which artist has more monthly listeners on Spotify.
No sign-up
You do not need an account. Your browser gets a guest profile on the first visit, and it unlocks everything: stats, badges, playlist building, battles and public leaderboards. You can change your name in your profile.
The profile is tied to the browser: in another browser, or after clearing site data, you get a new one. To keep your progress and open it anywhere, you can link the profile to a Google account — one tap, entirely optional. Everything you have played stays with you.
Where the music comes from
Snippets are cut from the short preview clips provided by the public Apple iTunes Search API. We hold no full tracks and nothing can be downloaded through the service: the game plays exactly as many seconds as the current level has unlocked.
